About the Event
Birth Connect has been formed as a way to connect and educate women on all things pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
We aim to gather and share from peer professional support in the industry.
For the first meeting we are gathering to hear from three Birth Industry Professionals.
Meagan Moyers: Pelvic Floor PT at Resilience PT. Meagan graduated with honors from Duke University with a doctorate in physical therapy. It was during her time at Duke that a passion and interest in women’s health really started to take root, as she took a women’s health elective and completed her capstone thesis project on pelvic girdle pain. It was after experiencing the pregnancy and birth of her second daughter that this passion for women’s health and postpartum physical therapy started to take form, and she became passionate about delivering quality, focused care to women in the Chattanooga area.
Danielle Guess: Danielle is a certifying doula with DONA training. She has completed both lactation and newborn care certification and is moving forward supporting Moms in any birthing environment. Having had one hospital birth and two home births, both surrounded by support, she has realized how important it is above all for Mom to be educated and heart! Research is her favorite hobby, but hearing how a Momma's intuition leads to miraculous outcomes is her heartbeat. Believing that with the birth of a baby is also the birth of a Momma, she is ready to assist you as doula through pregnancy, labor, and beyond! Danielle has recently certified as a Postpartum Vaginal Steaming Specialist and would love to share with you her offering!
Rai Harris: Chiropractor for Skyline Chiropractic: Rai dreams of creating a better community for women to be fully empowered in their health! Rai not only works with mamas, she helps treat the whole family, even new borns!
Rai Harris: 3:20pm
Danielle Guess: 3:40pm
